Harm reduction-based substance use counseling

This project is a safe place for all survivors of the war on drugs. It is a harm reduction service for people in any and all stages of our relationships with the substances we engage with, and for those who acknowledge this as an ever-evolving process and practice. This can also be a place for individuals who may not be comfortable talking to a clinical therapist, even if they are harm reduction based.

I offer peer supported solidarity and counseling services based on 22 years of experience living the life as a counselor, and as a user (or both at the same time).

I believe people who have lived experiences are best equipped to help others in similar situations, and that AA & NA shouldn’t be the only ways to do that.

I believe that our own personal explorations and experiences can help us all heal, and hopefully  learn from each other as we do that.

I have observed myself and my community be labeled, limited, oppressed, categorized, and severely traumatized by the medical industrial complex, as well as the prison industrial complex. Seeking trustworthy support within the confines of their structures can be challenging at best, causing many of us to give up on pursuing support in more traditional ways. Instead, we find our own ways, informed by real life experiences and observations, and that is what led me to start work on this project.
